The vegetable garden is at full capacity

We would like to change the topic. After two weeks talking about purple garlic, we think it will be a good idea to talk about homely farming. Our vegetable garden is giving us some fantastic vegetables. We have said it is a homely farming because all vegetables are to be consumed by our whole family. As you can see in our pictures, tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, peppers,... are of the highest quality. In our village (and in our area in general), it is very common farmers have a small vegetable garden in summer to own consumption. It generates a lot of familiar work because all tasks are carried out manually, but it is very gratifying.

Thank our earthenware jar, which was installed last year and it is used to water our vegetable garden through a drip system (also, we use it to fill our sprayer in the appropriate season), our orchard has a great color. We hope to be harvesting tomatoes during the next two weeks as well.

I would like to express in a public manner how nice looks your vegetables. I am a fanatic supporter of "gazpacho" the traditional catalan cold soup, made of a mix of vegetables, but I cannot get such nice looking tomatoes here to cook it in my Hamilton Beach blender.

Are you considering the idea to export your products and sell via internet?

Once again, congratulations for your 2013 harvest.

    1. Hi.

      Thanks for your comment!!!

There are a lot of cooperatives or companies in Spain what are exporting vegetables around the world... they have vegetables of high quality too. We think we can't export our product from our vegetable garden via Internet.

Sorry, but "gazpacho" is not from Catalonia. It is from Andalusia.

      Best regards.

    Hello friends,

I love your vegetable garden, the tomatoes are fantastic but my favorite product is courgette. How do you cook them?

And another question, do you have potatoes in your vegetable garden?

Thanks for the post and the photos.

    Hola amigos

      Thanks for your comment!!

There aren't potatoes in our vegetable garden this year :(

About cooking, unfortunately I can't help you... maybe, my parents could have an answer.

      Best regards

      Hola.
      Muchas gracias por tu comentario.

Este año no tenemos patatas en la huerta. Respecto a como cocinar el calabacín, siento no poder ayudarte... tal vez nuestro padres pueden tener una respuesta.

      Saludos.
