Our friend Timo visited the largest farm machinery show of Europe in Hanover, Germany.
At Agritechnica two new products were awarded gold medals: Müller/Aebi Line Traction concept that enables each wheel of tractor to be driven at the correct speed and Claas concept of a 70 t big baler.
Amazone AutoSpread monitors the actual spread pattern of the fertiliser and automatically adjusts the settings to achieve optimum distribution. Väderstad has added third disc axle to it’s Carrier XL.
Many new autonomous machines were introduced. Fendt showed concept of autonomous tool carrier Xaver 104 GT. AgXeed unveiled the new AgBot T2 7 series with 230 hp. There were also multiple autonomous mobile sprayers.
John Deere presented at Agritechnica a 130 hp electric tractor prototype and Siloking 100 % electric self-propelled feed mixer wagons. Chinese Zoomlion showed a hybrid electric combine harvester in which the drive train and partly the machinery operate on electricity.
Several new 300...450 hp tractors were introduced. New products included: Claas Axion 9, Deutz-Fahr Series 8, Fendt 800 Vario, JCB Fastrac 6000 and Case IH Optum 360-440.
Massey Ferguson 5S and Valtra G series add CVT transmission in their product line. CNH renewed their T7 SWB/Puma SWB models. SDF no longer offers Same/Lamborghini tractors in Germany. They only showed Deutz Fahr models. Their innovation TAGS - Tractor Assisted Guidance System is only one example of many new field automation and precision farming solutions that were shown in Agritechnica.
Accessory manufacturers showed for example multiple after market tire pressure control systems, remanufactured CVT transmissions and many solutions to lift tractor up in a farm repair shop.
