Nutrition days for purple garlic

We continue speaking of fertilizing tasks because in our area it is the time to carry out this nutrition jobs... in this case, for purple garlic. We used the same fertilizer as the last year because the results were truly positive (also, other farmers told us they didn't realize any important improvement). This fertilizer is the Duranit Actibión 26/46 of Expertia company. It is delivered in big bag of 500kg, so we had to use a front loader to fill our spreaders... in our opinion, if it were delivered in bulk it would be easier to transport and manipulate it. The dose, we used, was 430kg/ha so we had to transport several large bags (the farming convoy was composed of four tractors, two trailers and a car).

The nutrition day was long because, this year, our purple garlic is 65km away from our village so the trip with our tractors is longish (it takes us about 2 hours). However, it was funny since we could spend a lot hours with our partners (Aquilino and Jesús)... we always learn new things when we speak to them and we even share smiles during the lunch in the restaurant. The fertilizing job finished perfectly... whenever we work with our Amazone ZX-A Perfect spreaders the job is a pleasure because they spread fertilizer very accurately.

      Saludos.

    Hi friends,

You are specialized in garlic, could you tell us how many nutrition jobs you carry out per year? I know that it depends on other conditions like weather, soil,… but I understand there are some periods in the year for nutrition and the number should be more or less standard.

Thanks in advance for your answer.
    Best Regards,
    TRICAMA

    Hola amigos,

    Saludos
    TRICAMA

    1. Hi.
      Thanks for your comment!

We fertilize before planting task in December and other time in March. Sometime, also we fertilize in June with Potash but it is not very commun for us. You have more information about that in our garlic book: http://www.twins-farm.com/p/garlic-book.html

      Best regards.

      Hola.

      Saludos.

Good morning in this beautiful spring time.
May I ask you, what is the average yield of garlic from 1 Ha in your country?

    Thank you for your answer!

    1. Hi Joseph
      Thanks for your comment!!

Maybe we can have an average of 8,000kg/ha but it can depent on a lot of factors like weather or soil used.

      Best regards.

  4. Buenas.

      Saludos.
