Demoagro 2025: A Record-Breaking Edition in Medina del Campo

The sixth edition of Demoagro, Spain’s leading Agricultural Machinery Show, concluded on 22 May in Medina del Campo (Valladolid) with record-breaking attendance of over 35,000 visitors—around 5,000 more than the previous edition. This milestone event featured 90 exhibiting companies across 80 hectares, divided into 115 demonstration fields showcasing more than 800 machines. These included 13 harvesting fields, 39 soil preparation plots, 12 special crop areas, and 26 static display zones.

Large-scale trade fairs always come with some uncertainty: Will attendance meet expectations? Will the weather cooperate? With an unusually rainy May across much of Spain, one of the concerns was that farmers would be catching up on work that had been delayed by the rains and perhaps attendance could be reduced. In the end, quite the opposite... farmers responded and attendance was massive, especially on the first two days, as some of the exhibitors we asked let us know.

The event presented a diverse array of machinery and cutting-edge technologies designed to meet the evolving needs of Spanish agriculture. From traditional implements to advanced digital solutions, robotics, and automation, the variety on display confirmed Demoagro’s role as a key national reference point for live agricultural machinery demonstrations.

Looking ahead, one area with room for growth is international outreach. Attracting a broader foreign audience could elevate Demoagro’s status even further on the global stage.

Here are some highlights and takeaways from our time at the fair:

  • Excellent organisation: The fair was well laid out and easy to navigate. Despite covering 80 hectares, walking through it felt surprisingly effortless.
  • Comprehensive machinery offering: From compact, specialised equipment to the largest and most powerful tractors, the full spectrum of agricultural machinery was represented.
  • Test drive opportunities: Tractor testing is always a major attraction. This year, it was easier than usual to access the machines, as there were noticeably shorter queues.
  • Live joint demonstrations: These allowed for quick and insightful comparisons between brands and models.
  • Hands-on experience: We were able to see, touch, and compare implements we’re considering for future purchase. Particularly impressive were the sprayers, equipped with advanced features like nozzle control, pulse-width modulation, and ISOBUS integration.
  • Static tractor displays: Nearly all major brands showcased a wide range of models, allowing for direct comparison in one place.
  • Companies such as Gil, Ovlac, Virkar, and Pulverizadores Sanz: "Innovation from Spanish manufacturers" continue to deliver top-tier quality and innovation year after year.
  • Parcels from John Deere, Fendt, CNH, and Kubota stood out for their professional layouts and extensive machine lineups.
  • New Holland: "Special fair pricing" offered substantial discounts on tractors purchased directly at the fair—an initiative we found particularly appealing. Deutz-Fahr also offered promotional pricing on select models. Perhaps other brands will follow suit in future editions.
  • Fendt debuted its first 100% electric tractor: "Electrification milestone" the e100 Vario Series, which is now entering serial production. It's likely we’ll begin to see these innovative models in Spanish fields in the coming years.

Demoagro 2025 not only broke attendance records but also reaffirmed its position as a benchmark event for agricultural innovation in Spain. With a strong display of technology, organisation, and industry engagement, the fair proved once again to be an unmissable meeting point for professionals in the sector. Looking ahead, its potential for international growth promises an even more exciting future.
