International Presentation of Deutz-Fahr Agrotron new 6 series and 7 series

The international  presentation of new Agrotron 6 series and 7 series of the famous German brand, called Deutz-Fahr, was performed in Berlin on the 26th and 27th August. Thanks to our friend Juan Francisco Pérez Collado, who sent us his pictures and a lot of information about this event, we can write a new post we think it could be interesting for everyone of our readers.

Firstly, the event had a welcome cocktail and after that, there was a gala dinner in the Estrel Hotel, where Vittorio Carozza, Chairman and President of Same Deutz-Fahr Group, gave a welcome speech for every customers who were there.

On the second day, the customers went to test field near of Berlin, where they could know every technical features in the presentation of each new Agrotron and they could test them with whole spectrum of tractors, combines and complementary agricultural machinery of Deutz-Fahr. Every tractors worked with Kverneland tools, so attendees could fun with tools of premium quality in all tests (several tools were very big, so I think we will be dificult to see them in Spain unfortunately).

Finally and anecdotally, there was a contest of ploughing with ropes. Three longest ropes were tied three furrow Kverneland plough and a team of 50 people with same nationality had to move it 80 metres in the shortest possible time. Only Poland team could win Spanish team.

Garlic delivery

Last week we went to the company store to delivered our garlics. This task is executed in three times, so each partner has to wait his turn. The "San Julián" cooperative of our Village (it is included in Coopaman) is working during August to get all garlic from its  members (about 5 million kilograms). Its staff work with two shifts of 8 hours to get its goal. This job is hard because there is a big amount of dust when garlic are moved and classified.

Farmers only have to upload their trailers with palots to deliver them in the store. There, these palots are unloaded with Linde forklift and they are tumbled over hoppers of classify machine. After garlic are classified, workers put a traceability label which will not be lost until they are going to be sold. This label has a barcode with information about partner, origin field, delivery date and time, type and size garlic,... A worker checks over quality of garlic too.

Finally, garlic are put in cold rooms (which have a temperature of -3 degrees Celsius) until they have to be ready for commercialization. This task is normally done by women: they clean, peel and store garlic in different cardboard, wood or plastic box or bags of different size.

You have a guide that is even more detailed, updated and comprehensive on 15 health benefits of garlic according to science, and includes 5 delicious garlic recipes. It is over 6,000 words and completely free. You can find it here.

The last step: sold barley and loading trucks

As the title says, it is the last step we have to carry out with our crop. Once we finished to harvest cereals and legumes, we only had to sell our products. The price is good this year (about 220€/ton of barley, for example), but it can change weekly. A few farmers store their crops in their sheds because they are waiting better prices. They normally get better price than selling cereals directly when they harvested them.

In our area, we have several companies like Agricola Villarobledo or Legumbres Caballero which buys cereals and legumes. All of them offer the same price (it is regulated by agricultural market of Albacete), so these two companies are the better two good options to sell them cereals or legumes.

We went to visit our friend Aquilino when he loaded a few trucks. We would like to highlight high speed Fendt Farmer 411 can move its frontloader. Also, he uses a Tenías high-tip bucket of 2.4m width and 1,678 litres full capacity which performs very easy his job and he can fill a truck in a few minutes.
