Sorting grain with an old winnower

One more time, our friend Pedro Rubio called us when he was sorting and cleaning his grain (it was wheat that time). So far, there is not any originality. The surprise arrived when we saw he and his father were working with an old winnower... the machine was made in the 60's. We think we were privileged because we could see it working again. However, at that time its goal was very different, because in the past that machine was used to separate the grain from the straw when the crop was threshed through a small wood threshing and a mule.

This old winnower has some sieves of different calibres and two fans which allow him to carry out a pretty selection and to clean the grain very accurately. As you can see in our video, Pedro explained us how it worked (we're sorry, but it is in Spanish and it would be really difficult to be translated into English due to the expressions used)... Although, he would have to improve the upload system if he wanted to use it for a large amount of grain, of course.

      Saludos.
