Garlic flowers

Once we have harvested garlic and  they have been grouped to defend themselves against the sun, we have to cut the garlic flowers (scapes) which produce clusters of miniature "bulbs". These bulbs should be cut to allow garlic to grow during the last stages. This task is done before harvesting (sorry, but I don't have any video or pictures about that) and it is done after harvesting too because many garlic don't have flower when we cut them firstly and they grow in the next days even after harvesting.

As you can see in our pictures, we used two types of mowers. The central mower (it has a hydraulic engine) is used before harvesting, because we can work easier despite of our permanent water system. And, side mower (it is mechanical) is used when garlic have been harvested and grouped.
